Karekare & Piha beaches

I visited Karekare and Piha beaches which are located to the west of Auckland. These two places are close to each other. My friends and I rented a car with Jucy and it approximately took one hour and half to drive from Auckland city centre to there.
Karekare

We first went to Karekare.

There is a little forest with a pleasant waterfall. A bath can even be taken in a kind of pool.

Karekare beach is impressive with its black sand its enormous waves.

Piha

We ended the day at Piha by starting from the beach. We walked up a big rock. It enabled us to have a good view of the beach.

Piha has also a forest which offers a peaceful walk in the middle of a wonderful nature. The forest hides a beautiful waterfall. You can have a pleasant moment under this waterfall.

After this day I can say that Karekare Beach and the forest of Piha are part of the best things I have ever seen in the North Island of New Zealand! Unfortunately, this was the last big trip of my stay in this country… But I did not finish telling you what happened during this travel.
