Coromandel

Coromandel Peninsula is into the east of Auckland. It took around 2 hours to go to the east coast of the peninsula. The trip was organised by a touristic agency called Mana Tours which made us visit two points: Hot Water Beach and Cathedral Cove.
Hot Water Beach

The Mana Tours bus brang the group to the Hot Water Beach. This a long beach in which, as you can guess from its name, you can lay on a hole in the sand where the water coming from a rock is really hot (around 60°C). Unfortunately, there were so many people that I could not try. I only walked along the beach.

Cathedral Cove

We took the road for Cathedral Cove. This is another beach well-known as a spot where one scene of Narnia and the Prince of caspian has been filmed. There is between 30 and 45 minutes of walk before reaching the beach. The walk enables to have a beautiful view on the sea.

The water from the sea of Coromandel is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen.
